Holiday E-Card

Happy Holidays! Ecard with cardinal perched on y of holiday in front of a forest of snowy pines in background

I made this Wintry scene for a general audience, one that could be seen on a Hallmark or other card manufacturer's site. To create this generic scene, I first selected the cardinal out of an picture I took with a 12x optical zoom camera. Then, I cropped out most of the buildings out of a second picture to create a background and enhanced the greens and yellows in the trees with a color adjustment layer. The blue sky was painted in over the gray skies from the original. Finally, I selected a sample of the nandinas (seen in lower left corner) with berries from a third picture, hid a wall in the background with them, and applied color and saturation adjustments to them separately for better blending.
